I was a burned-out teacher
of 20+ years.
My mind, body, and soul were deeply disconnected—and I had no idea what was “wrong” with me or why i couldn’t keep up. I was in near constant pain, overwhelmed, and caught in a dysfunctional loop that left me unknowingly drained and disconnected from true self.
Eventually, my body sent a message I couldn’t ignore. at times, Recurring back injury & pain left me unable to walk or care for myself for days, weeks, even months at a time. I had no choice but to listen. for me, my body was the gateway back to myself.
By some miracle, meditation found me through an acquaintance. And once I gave it a real chance, something clicked. I traded nightlife and numbing for presence, peace and alignment.
That was the beginning of my becoming the best thriving version of myself. and thankfully, over two years ago, a rare form of yoga called Yoga Nidra found me. I learned to not only connect—mind, body, and spirit; but to do so while deeply resting. It felt so good. So real. so alive. it was a return to my birthright— my rested self.
Adding sweet rest, or “Nidra” into my mornings or evenings became my anchor. It soothed panic & anxiety, released stress and tension, improved my sleep, and helped me welcome, recognize and witness emotions in a way I had never known. It brought me back into alignment—naturally, without forcing or doing a thing.
Now, a flow state is my norm. it’s where I create from, where innovation and clarity take the front seat. rest is how I created a space for other women to reclaim their wellbeing. it is how i lead. & Nidra Babes is how I share that path with others.
Through Nidra Babes membership, Amy creates intentional spaces where women can pause, breathe, and return to themselves through the transformative power of movement, dance and sacred yoga nidra in community. These are soft landings—where stress dissolves, authenticity rises, and nervous systems exhale.
